Observation of He and H in the volcanic crater lakes: possible evidence for natural nuclear fusion in deep Earth

چکیده
Mantle helium and other volatiles may be released to volcanic crater lakes. This paper presents the observation of H and mantle helium in the crater Lakes Nemrut (Turkey), Laacher (Germany) and Pavin (France). The presence of excess H in the lakes can be explained as material released from mantle sources because of the correlation of excess H with mantle He and He. The helium concentration was much higher in the bottom layers of the lakes. The He and He concentrations in Lakes Nemrut, Laacher, and Pavin were determined to be 25 and 190; 10 and 50; and 70 and 500 times larger than the atmospheric saturation value, respectively. The isotopic ratio of the excess helium, Heex/ Heex, in Lakes Nemrut, Laacher and Pavin was (1.032±0.006)×10, (7.42±0.03)×10 and (9.09±0.01)×10 respectively. The ratios clearly indicate that large amounts of helium isotopes are released to the lakes from a mantle source. The excess H at the bottom of Lakes Nemrut, Laacher and Pavin is estimated to be 3.7±1.4 TU, ~1.4 TU and ~4 TU respectively. Detection of tritium in the Earth’s interior is key evidence for natural nuclear fusion in the Earth. We conclude that the excess H in the lakes, after the origin of the excess H from atmosphere and conventional nuclear reactions are excluded, and the correlation of the excess H and mantle He is considered, might be from a mantle source. We also conclude that the H and He are produced by nuclear fusion (d-d reaction) in an environment (condensed matter or plasma) rich in H atoms and (U+Th) at high temperature and high pressure conditions in deep Earth.

Study of micro-textures and chemistry of feldspar minerals of East Sarbisheh volcanic complex (Eastern Iran), for evidence of magma chamber process
The Eocene-Oligocene Sarbisheh volcanic complex is a part of the Lut-Sistan Zone that outcrops in eastern Iran. In the east of this complex, three groups of volcanic rocks (i.e., andesite, dacite, and rhyolite) exist. Plagioclase as the main mineral of these rocks is found with varying micro-textures. Based on a changing trend in the concentration of anorthite, the developed micro-textures (coa...

Ecotourism is growing business in Nepal due to domestic and international visitors. Specifically, natural lakes in Ramsar sites are very potential avenues for boating, scenic beauty and study the aquatic ecosystem. However Eichhornia crassipes has been threatening the beauty, ecosystem and eco-tourism business. This research was objectively carried out to explore income generation from ecotouri...
متن کاملCrater lake colonization by neotropical cichlid fishes.
Volcanic crater lakes are isolated habitats that are particularly well suited to investigating ecological and evolutionary divergence and modes of speciation. However, the mode, frequency, and timing of colonization of crater lakes have been difficult to determine. We used a statistical comparative phylogeographic approach, based on a mitochondrialDNA dataset, to infer the colonization history ...
متن کاملThe effect of environmental factors on the location of ancient sites around the ancient northern lakes of the desert plain (Holocene)
Introduction Site selection of human habitats in pre-historic times, unlike the current periods, has been strongly influenced by natural factors. Studies may be focused on three areas including paleoclimate, paleogeomorphology and archeology in order to identify environmental factors affecting primary habitats. Based on studies, most of the ancient lakes in central Iran were formed during the Q...
متن کاملGeochemistry, petrology, and mineralization in volcanic rocks located in south Neyshabour, NE Iran
This paper presents the new geochemical isotopes Sr and Nd, and the mineralization data for the south Neyshabour volcanic rocks located in NE Iran. Based on the chemical classifications, the studied rocks are basaltic trachy andesite, trachy andesite, trachyte, and trachy dacite in composition. All the analyzed volcanic rocks display enrichment in light rare earth elements (LREE) relative to th...
